Adventure Mama Ashley and the Fearless Wonders

     Hi, I'm Ashley.  I'm a former control freak turned free-spirited dreamer with only the occasional relapse.  I believe in dreaming big, but more importantly DOING the things you dream about! There's too much to see and do in life to be ruled by fear. Our family is currently planning and training for a 3000 mile bike tour of the US east coast.  We also have some foreign, service-based adventures in the works.
     I enjoy photography, reading pre-1950 children's literature (Caddie Woodlawn, anyone?), and cooking vegetarian meals.  I like walking through quaint downtowns with cutesy storefronts, and I'm a sucker for a good window display or a farmer's market.  I love being a homeschooling mom to 3 wonderful, friendly, hilarious kids who on occasion have been known to be mischievous, sassy, and downright disobedient, but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to admit that in a blog bio... 
     My kids love riding bikes, going to the dollar theater, and eating ice cream 3 meals a day (not that I let them do that.  I swear.).  They have an ardent love for mud and discovering "new" insect species.  The girls love gymnastics and The Bubs (our affectionate name for my son) loves being destructive and creating mayhem in general.  Clearly, I am a lucky mama and ADORE my job.
